Long-Lasting
Easy-to-Grow Color!
From hundreds of thousands of seedlings come these precious few selections of Hemerocallis that represent the best in reblooming varieties for Northern gardens.

These amazing plants are the result of the life-long work of world-reknown daylily breeder Dr. Darrel Apps. With more than thirty years of breeding between them, the Happy Ever Appster® daylilies stand alone when it comes to plant performance and repeat blooming.

Each Happy Ever Appster® Daylily meets many stringent standards, including being hardy to at least zone 5 (some have been reported surviving in zone 2), and they all must bloom a minimum of 75 days in our trial gardens in zone 6.

Unique flowers, different colors, excellent foliage, and extended bloom season - all with little gardener input.

The Full Line of Happy Ever Appster® Daylilies:

Hemerocallis 'Apricot Sparkles'PP#13223
This everblooming dwarf is deep apricot with astounding diamond dusting qualities (shining particles on its petals), which is why we call it Apricot Sparkles.

Hemerocallis 'Big Time Happy'
This daughter of 'Happy Returns' is identical in color to Happy but sports a flower with double the surface area. 4" blooms are lemon yellow and inherit some ruffling from its other parent, 'Brocaded Gown'.

Hemerocallis 'Dynamite Returns'PP#20002
Coined by Dr. Apps as his best overall quality rebloomer to date, this pink beauty is the child of our two most popular Appster: Romantic and Red Hot Returns.

Hemerocallis 'Happy Returns'
Dr. Apps began his quest for alternative color everbloomers 25 years ago. Starting with Stella and other lesser known plants possessing remontant characteristics, he made thousands of crosses.

Hemerocallis 'Just Plum Happy'PP#14881
A crossing of existing strong rebloomers with some heavy blooming eyezones, Dr. Apps has produced this vivid eyezone everbloomer. The blooms are 6"+ in rose pink with a wide purple eyezone, habit is short with broad deep-green foliage.

Hemerocallis 'Red Hot Returns'PP#13499
Blooms are rounded with wide, recurved back-petals of brilliant hot-cherry red with a lemon throat and grass green tonsils. Habit is tall with deep green foliage and a moderate rate of clump development.

Hemerocallis 'Romantic Returns'PP#13481
Blooms have wide, slightly recurved and ruffled petals of saturated deep coral rose, softer pink sepal edges, with a lemon throat, green tonsils, and pinkish petal rays.

Hemerocallis 'Rosy Returns'PP#9779
The blooms are a bright rose pink, with a deep rose eyezone and yellow throat, habit is very short and neat, slender foliage, a good doer and makes a clump quickly. 'Rosy Returns' is a dormant diploid which starts early and continues to frost.

Hemerocallis 'Scentual Sundance'
Sets clusters of 4" golden flowers but stays short. The foliage is broader, with more substance, strength and deeper green color than Stella.

Hemerocallis 'Stephanie Returns'PP#18538
This exceptional rebloomer is a short and sweet variety with a pink/rose red bi-color with a plum eyezone and red veining over and bright green throat.

Hemerocallis 'Sunset Returns'PP#13465
As the sunset lays on the horizon, this exceptionally low plant stays tidy, a true groundcover. Blooms are 4" wide with piecrust-ruffled petals playing in pastels of apricot, yellow, and gold.

Hemerocallis 'When My Sweetheart Returns'PP#13480
Blooms of blush lemon cream with ruffles, exaggerated rose pink eye, bright lemon throat, grass green tonsils and white midribs. Deep green foliage, good vigor and makes a clump quickly.
